Sorry I meant to say colonial times not 1800's and I meant to say quick wars not quick battle wars.

War did not start as a way of money Looking through history 90% of wars were started either to unite the known world or survival. It really wasn't until the 1800's that it became a matter of money. For example Rome tried to keep Greece united using one battle wars and peace treaties.. The wars rage for a century until Rome eventually said that's it we can't take the burden. If we want to create peace wwe need to take them over.

I hate to say this but I believe if the world is going to be at peace there's going to have be a war.

The question is though will they realize peace. I mean Paul of Israel went as a missionary to Rome in the first century ad to spread peace. The Romans who based their culture on war (they believed the were the sons and daughters of the god of war) returned his favor with the price of death.

People need to realize is that the concept of Empire is dead. It is pointless to try to rule others. It is nobody's duty to show another how to live, and it is nobody's responsibility to cultivate civilized nations out of those people whom we deem to be barbaric terrorists. People are impressionable. That is why they follow violent despots. If we could lead them in a peaceful way, and teach them to be confident in themselves as human beings, not as weapons, we shall have peace.

I'll agree to that any day. The Mahatma had the right idea, and where all wars may not be founded on the same principles, they break down to the same old blood n' guts.

it'll never happen. They were too amazing. |
