My favorite JB song and that's really saying something. The voice...the piano...the lyrics...the story...everything. About as close to perfect as you can get5 stars

This one reminds me of my sister. Damn it I miss her. She used to make me laugh, she's close to my heart. No song ever brings me to tears like a baby as this does.

Martin Snapp turned me on to Jackson with this song in San Francisco in 1977. He's been my favorite since then. "in the end there is one dance you'll do alone"..there's another line that packs a punch.

"...may lie a reason you were alive, but you'll never know." It's been over three decades now, and that line still gets me every single time.

One of the best singers for this kind of musis. Beautiful voice. Sensitive lyrics. Touching, healing, to a point.

Um, what? JB is not native american at all, his mom was Norwegian.Browne was born in Heidelberg, Germany, where his father, an American serviceman, was stationed. Jackson's mother, Beatrice Amanda (née Dahl), was a Minnesota native of Norwegian ancestry.[2] Browne has three siblings: Roberta "Berbie" Browne who was born in 1946 in Nuremberg, Germany and Edward Severin Browne who was born in 1949 in Frankfurt, Germany. His younger sister, Gracie Browne, was born a number of years later. |
